- Red is the Very High Fire Risk Zone.
- Orange: High Risk.
- Yellow: Moderate.
- No color, not included in any fire risk zone.
Homes in the Very High and High Risk zones might be subject to insurance requirements under the California Fair Plan and other insurers.
Landscape Safety Reminder
We have experienced a few recent incidents where personal items were left in planter beds while our landscape crews were performing routine maintenance. In one case, an extension cord hidden within a shrub was accidentally cut, creating a potential safety hazard.
To help protect both our residents and our landscape staff, please ensure that Leisure Village Maintained planter beds are clear of personal belongings (for example, extension cords) before scheduled landscape maintenance. Keeping these areas free of obstructions allows our crews to work safely and efficiently.
Street Sweeping Pilot Program
I would like to inform residents that our street sweeping schedule has changed. This adjustment is being made because Gothic’s mowing and blowing practices have significantly reduced the amount of landscape debris reaching our streets.
After monitoring debris levels over the past several months, we have found that the volume has been minimal. As a result, we will begin a pilot program with street sweeping occurring once per month on the second Wednesday of each month.
We will continue to monitor street conditions throughout the pilot to ensure our community remains clean, attractive, and well maintained. If additional sweeping becomes necessary, adjustments will be made accordingly.
RFID Tag Program Update
I am pleased to report that the RFID tag implementation was a great success. Thank you to all of our residents for your patience throughout the transition and thank you to our staff for their hard work during the implementation. It was truly a team effort, and more than 1,500 vehicles were successfully entered into the new system.
If you have not yet received your RFID tag, please visit the West Gate. Park along the curb near Village 1 and walk up to the gatehouse, where Security staff will be happy to issue your new RFID tag.
Paint Project Update
I am pleased to report that we have assembled a team of experienced professionals to evaluate exterior paint colors that best complement the unique character of Leisure Village. After careful review, we have narrowed the selections to five stucco colors and coordinating trim colors.
To encourage resident feedback, there will be a demonstration wall displaying each color. Our goal is to begin the community-wide paint project in August. Please stay tuned for additional details as we move forward.
